The comedian JOE MACHI was born and raised at State College, PA, home of Penn State University. After college, he worked for a supermarket and media company. MACHI moved to New York in 2006 to devote himself to comedy. He was on stage on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the CBC’s Just For Laughs Gala, and was a panelist on the Fox News show Red Eye. MACHI was also one of 10 selected comics to be seen at the “Just For Laughs New Faces” show in Montreal in 2012. His comedy has also been mentioned in the New York Times, the NY Daily News, the NY Post, and Time Out New York. Other highlights include winning the 2010 New York Underground Comedy Festival competition, finishing second in the 2011 New York Comedy Contest, a two-time finalist in the Funniest Person Competition at the New York Comedy Festival, and the 2012 Andy Kaufman Prize finalist. MACHI has become an integral part of the New York Comedy Club and other comedy shows as well as nationwide comedy festivals.
