Working at the state and local level, Gianno was asked to continue to support Illinois’ interests in Washington, D.C.

As a legislative intern, Gianno worked on behalf of Congress member John Shimkus to help investigate and analyze health, energy, and telecommunications laws. Understanding the complexity and complex nature of these areas, Gianno has created a state impact analysis of the implementation of the Health Exchange Act. Since then, impact analysis and profiling have developed into accounts and issues of the Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee. In addition, Gianno has created an analysis of proposed federal laws that affect the state of the Illinois Medicaid program, which needs to analyze and measure Illinois’ Medicaid budget to provide cost-benefit analysis.

Before these positions, Gianno worked for the Social Security Administration, where he worked for nearly seven years before held many positions.
