Her first songwriting loan was a Christmas song

As a teenager, Carpenter cut her teeth on tour with country singer Jack Greene, and the first songwriting she ever earned was “Red, White and Blue Christmas”. In 2018, Carpenter released her own version of Merle Haggard’s Christmas classic “If We Make It Through December,” which reflects not only her influence on the country but also her fondness for the legends of Christmas music.

She grew up in Nashville’s Honky-Tonks and wrote a song about it

The carpenter’s song “Cry Baby” combines syrupy pedal steel with the full timbre and the high tones of the singer. The track is inspired by her first months in Nashville: The stages of bars and Tonk dives became my classroom, Carpenter tells The Boot. “I wanted to write a song that captures my feeling like a teenager in these smoky neon nights.”

She also writes about severe heartache

Zimmermann’s songs are all deeply personal. A poisonous marriage to a songwriter from Nashville became fodder for her honest, emotional lyrics, including her song “Burn the Bed”.

She was with Country Legends

In addition to Greene, Carpenter toured as a teenager with famous country names such as Little Jimmy Dickens and Loretta Lynn – when she didn’t spend her weekends behind the scenes at the Grand Ole Opry.

“I had the opportunity to perform with other icons like Loretta Lynn, Little Jimmy Dickens, Porter Waggoner, and Jean Shepard,” Carpenter tells The Boot. “I learned so much to see my heroes on stage, and I still live by the advice they gave me.”

Her producer worked with pop superstars

2019 is the year 2019 with the release of an EP by Carpenter, produced by Ron Fair, who has collaborated with superstars such as Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera. “Ron says it sounds like a country, Lady Gaga, but I say it sounds like Freddie Mercury if Queen had been a country band,” Carpenter explains of the project I’m a very dramatic person. It will also remain true to my home roots. “
